Exploratory Classes 

These non-credit classes are offered to students once per week to allow them to explore unique disciplines and activities or get extra academic support.

Field Trips

In the fall, all middle school students embark on a 3-day, 2-night retreat. This time encourages students to develop a deeper relationship with God and each other. Students get to participate in numerous challenges and activities that promote personal, academic, and spiritual growth.  Our middle school students also have field trips as a reward for displaying good behavior and solid academic habits.

Leadership Opportunities 

Our students have unique  opportunities not typically available in middle school. At SCS, our middle school  students… 

  • Partner with Elementary classrooms as classroom assistants and book buddies 
  • Manage our school recycling program 
  • Take lead roles in school  performances 
  • Are the main caretakers of  our chickens 
  • Run our student council
  • Participate in our intramural  sports league 

One-to-One Technology

Summit Christian School offers every  student access to a personal learning  device to use at school or during  remote learning. Students in grades 6-8 are issued  Chromebooks for daily use in school and at home. All devices are equipped with filtering  and monitoring software.
